During Maplewood’s transformation during the 1990’s and early 2000’s, new organizations like the Maplewood Special Business District, and existing ones like the Mid County Chamber of Commerce were also dedicating resources to strengthening the community.

As a result, the MCBF was able to scale back and take on special projects within the community as needed. In recent years, those have included:

• Publishing the “100 Years in Maplewood” History Book

• Coordinating a design charrette to illustrate possible uses for the Sutton Bus Loop

• Honoring long-time Maplewood City Manager, Marty Corcoran’s retirement

• Administering Retail Loan Program to assist small businesses
